What is my coin set worth?

Commemorative Coins Add comments

I have a set of commemorative Kiribati Christmas Island Coins from 1999. They’re gold, and have a face value of , , and 0, respectively. They’re in plastic holders and in a nice looking wooden box, along with two vials which contain frankensence and myrrh. I’m wondering if anyone can tell me if these are worth anything? I’ve searched and searched online and I don’t come up with much info.

You have what is KM# PS-3 a 3 coin proof set. It says nothing about the incense they are a non coin item anyway and stuff like that usually is not listed as past of a set even though there. The set is in a box and the coins are gold they are KM# 33,34 & 35 under Kiribati the set has a book value of $645.00. The true value may be the gold in the coins, for finding someone that wants it as a collectors item may not be easy. Anyway it is listed. Hope this helps.

Go to the library reference section. Get a book on coins and their worth. If you are not sure where to look, ask the librarian for help. I bet you will find out how much they are. If you don’t want to do that, then find a local stamp and coin place and take your collection there for an appraisal.
