Commemorative Coins worth anything?

Commemorative Coins 4 Comments »

Hi all, iv recently inherited some commemorative disney coins and was wondering if they are worth anything. I spent hours on the internet with little result of finding information. according to the paper work they are .999 pure sliver, made in 1990-1991 most of them with a relatively low serial numbers (in the hundreds out of 7,500 5,000 and 10,000). I also have a set of E.T. coins from 1982, they were made by rarities mint. Any information will be useful. also would the coin’s weight be equivalent to current market value of sliver or no (please explain why if you know)? thank you
I just got done going through all of them, most of them say .999 Pure Silver one troy ounce, a few say .999 Fine Silver one troy ounce or .999 silver one troy ounce on the coins itself. the paper work says COMPOSITION: .999 Pure or Fine Silver and WEIGHT: 1 troy ounce (31.103 grams).
P.S. just noticed that my T9 put Sliver instead of Silver sorry about that.

Gold Coin Collecting And Certification

Gold Coins 25 Comments »

This video is pertaining to collecting gold coins. I will inform you exactly how I began my collection, reveal my sights on accumulating gold coins, demonstrate good examples of gold bullion, certified and uncertified (raw) coins, both old and current. Furthermore I am going to test out a number of coins “certified” by a non-reputable coin certifying organization by sending these for grading to NGC, exposing the real truth regarding a few self-proclaimed grading firms. See exactly what takes place.

Toned State Quarter Set

Proof Set Coins 1 Comment »

1999-s state quarter proof set is toned. does that make it more valuable?

I have the clad proof state quarter set from 1999-2008 all sets look good but the 1999 set on the obverse side has a gold tone to it. I was told that the first 3 yrs minted in the s q proof sets where toning due to plating problems during mint. does this increase the value? Please tell me your source of info.

1964 Proof Set

Proof Set Coins No Comments »

The 1964 United States Proof Set is a “One Year Type Proof Set” that is almost 40 years old. 1964 was the only Year that the Proof Kennedy Half Dollar was made in 90% Silver. Since the United States Mint has starting selling Silver Proof Sets in 1999, their value has been steadily increasing, with the most recent sets starting at .95. When you consider the 1964 Silver Proof Sets in the light of these facts, “THEY ARE A GREAT VALUE!” Sure to increase in the future.
