I have a set of commemorative Kiribati Christmas Island Coins from 1999. They’re gold, and have a face value of , , and 0, respectively. They’re in plastic holders and in a nice looking wooden box, along with two vials which contain frankensence and myrrh. I’m wondering if anyone can tell me if these are worth anything? I’ve searched and searched online and I don’t come up with much info.
I recently purchased a 2010 1 o.z. Gold Buffalo coin. After this, I wanted a matching silver buffalo and purchased on eBay a 2001 Silver Buffalo Commemorative Dollar. I have a 2011 Coin Red Book, and the mintage figures are about the same IF NOT more then some other dates but the specific 2001 Silver Buffalo is worth over 0+ compared to say a 2000 Leif Ericson has 28,150 mints and the 2001 Buffalo has 227,131. Why is this? Again, mintage seems to be on par with other years so I don’t think it’s that. Thanks!!!
Im looking for the value of a NRA 1873 Colt peacemaker gold or possibly gold plated coin. weight is 1 ounce. it’s a 125th commemorative coin. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

It is listed as a first edition commemorative collection.honoring the American Flag, American Eagle, United States Constitution, Statue of Liberty and the Liberty Bell. It states .999 which is the outer part and 24 kt. gold as the inlay .has COA
If a pirate buried a chest full of gold coins in the 1700s how much more would they be worth now than they?
How much were they worth then? Has the value of the gold increased significantly since then. What value would the age and scarcity of the coins themselves add. Suppose the pirate says "I’m going to come back in three hundred years and dig up this treasure because it will be worth_______times as much then. What would be a good number to put in the blank? More than a hundred?
This probably isn’t really an investing question but I couldn’t find a topic for old coins or buried treasure.
This newly issued Thomas Jefferson proof gold coin contains one half ounce of 24k gold. Limited edition of only 20000 proof and 20000 uncirculated coins were issued. These gold coins became available on August 30 and quickly sold out within a matter of hours. One of the most attractive gold coins the us mint has produced in quite some time.

The ten and twenty dollar gold pieces designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens are generally considered among the most beautiful and artistically accomplished coinage of all time. The development of these designs was understandably a difficult process, one that took years longer than it would have from another, less-accomplished sculptor. The Coinage of Augustus Saint-Gaudens is an issue-by-issue exa…
